I just started learning Sat Nam Rasayan. It is the healing path of Kundalini Yoga (Yogi Bhajan style).

I feel like I have come home.

This is what I have been looking for since I read my first book on yoga and mysticism as a teenager. So I have been searching  and experimenting for more than 20 years.

I have tested out a lot of gurus and ways of meditating but nothing felt just right. Some places felt cult-like, others just plain unauthentic. Some Gurus felt like they really had something but I did not see any gain in following them because they were not really teaching what they had. They were just making people dependent on them by giving them a glimpse of the divine without giving people the way to get there by themselves. I’m very picky.

Transmission of the Teachings

My teacher in Sat Nam Rasayan is called Sven Butz and his teacher is Guru Dev. Guru Dev learned Sat Nam Rasayan in the traditional way of this path, in silent transmission from his guru. In his case Yogi Bhajan. However, Yogi Bhajan and Guru Dev wanted more people to be able to learn this so Yogi Bhajan instructed Guru Dev to find a way to teach this to people that might not be able to grasp the silent transmission. Lucky me!

Still it is not necessary to practice Kundalini Yoga to learn Sat Nam Rasayan. You can come into this from any path in life and you would benefit from it. I am certain of it.

I have now experienced two long weekends of Sat Nam Rasayan. I just started Level one last weekend and before that I got to sit in on one weekend of Level 2 last November. What I have experienced is very difficult to put to words. An experience of silence. A glimpse of the vastness within that I have not been able to experience by myself without any help except for the guidance of a teacher.

Sat Nam Rasayan is about learning to reach the state of Shunia. A profound total inner silence. It is about learning that everything is an experience within consciousness. Within this space of inner silence. And I feel like I am on the path to there. And I love it.

I am so happy that I have found this!
