  • Self-love – Love yourself now!

Hey! Over the next days I am going to be sharing some of the benefits of my inner journey over the last few years.I’m going to start with the most important change in my life:I love myself. Unapologetically and completely.
I don’t think I’m perfect, far from it, but that is not required. I just am, doing the best I can, and that is enough.
The strange thing about true self-love is that it makes you more egoless than ego centric. When you’ve got your obsession with yourself out of the way it becomes so much easier to serve. A lot of ego centric behaviour actually comes from a place of low self…

  • You are the Universe

A little less than a year ago I had the experience of merging with the universe.  All sense of separation was removed. I felt my sense of being-ness expand to include everything there is. In this state I kept looking for my boundaries. To feel where I ended and the world began and that boundary simply was not there. I stayed in that state for quite a while and when I came back out of it I felt as if I had touched God. Touched pure love. It happened during deep meditation at a Sat Nam Rasayan retreat here in Reykjavik where I live. This last year has been an integration period…

  • The Benefits of Meditation – Just do it!

A lot of people have the idea that Meditation is difficult or time consuming. Or that it’s not worth doing unless you do at least 20 minutes twice a day. Or that you must sit cross-eyed and cross-legged in a lotus posture, ideally with a turban. Not true.
I for one can promise you that you do not need to do a lot for a lot to change.
Meditation is a bit like magic. It lowers your stress levels and makes your heart healthier. It makes you happier. It makes you feel more connected to others and the world. It improves your focus and your creativity. It improves your immune system and it…

  • The Power of Mantras

Mantras are magical. They are like keys that open up different aspects of the Universe. The deeper you go the more impressive they get. Applying Mantras in a very precise manner through meditation is like having access to the source code of the Matrix. Sounds like fun?
What makes mantras so powerful? Think of the Big Bang. It is not a coincidence that it is called theBig Bang, not the Big Silence. The entire Universe is built on sound. Sound is vibration and everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration. Vibration can be translated into frequency and sound is frequency so essentially everything is sound. Nice!
    We normally think…

  • Holy Bin

    Everything is Sacred

One of the most profound experiences of my life involved an act of grace that made me see, feel and understand the sacredness of everything. Of all of life. Everything is sacred. There is nothing that is not infused with the sacred.
It means that your whole being is beautiful. It means that cleaning your house is really and act of love even if you don’t see it that way. For sure it means that all of the natural world is sacred but it also means that the street you are walking on, the garbage and the walls of your house are sacred.
The strangest part is that we are also never alone….

  • How to Love – Buddhist Advice from Thich Nhat Hahn

I have been reading the book True Love: A Practice for Awakening the Heart by one of my favourite teachers, the Wonderful Thich Nhat Hanh. This book gives you a very deep insight into what it means to truly love, as opposed to only professing your love.
Being good at love is probably the best talent you could possibly have. Unfortunately it seems like our ideas about love, especially romantic love are lacking in a fundamental way. We love people and yet they do not feel loved by us. We don’t really know how to show love and still, to love and be loved is vitally important for us to feel joyful…

  • A Very Simple Meditation

A lot of people have the idea that Meditation is difficult or time consuming. Or that it’s not worth doing unless you do at least 20 minutes twice a day. Or that you must sit cross-eyed and cross-legged in a lotus posture, ideally with a turban. Not true.
I can promise you that you do not need to do a lot for a lot to change.
You can do it anywhere, wearing whatever you like to wear and as little as 5 minutes a day can have a big effect. Even every other day or just every time you remember to do it. The only way to get good at something is to…

  • Love Yourself

If you only do one thing for yourself today, make it loving yourself. Love yourself completely, even if just for one minute. For one minute focus only on self love. Suspend all judgements, put your all your flaws aside, don´t think about all the things you should be doing or should have done better in the past. Don´t think about anything at all, only feel. Only feel love. Even if you succeed doing this for only 10 seconds you have done something great.
If your having a hard time try looking for a memory. A time where you loved something with all your heart. It can be anything, a pet, a child,…

  • Spiritual Practice

In these strange times that we are living through it is very important to develop some kind of spiritual practice.

It is important because we as a human race need to reconnect to the sacred. To the sacred within and the sacred without. The state of the world, the environment, reflects our inner state. The outer world shows us what we have not been willing to see. The “de-sacredation”. We have desecrated the world and we have desecrated ourselves. By this I simply mean that we have lost the knowledge of the sacredness of the world and ourselves as human beings.

Our hearts and spirits are in dire need of love and compassion….
